Research principles
Independent in approach.
Accountable in method.
The same evidentiary standards should apply regardless of a person’s nationality, political affiliation, religion or institutional power.
Evidence before political alignment
This project is designed as independent, nonpartisan research. It does not endorse a government, party or military organisation. A claim must stand on its sources, not on the identity of its subject.
Individual actions require individual evidence
Appearing in an office-holder registry is not an accusation. Command, participation, escalation and initiation are different relationships. Initiating an intervention phase is not automatically initiating the entire underlying conflict.
Human dignity before spectacle
We do not turn casualty counts into scores. We do not assign the death toll of an entire war to one individual without a defensible evidentiary and methodological basis.
Uncertainty remains visible
An allegation, an official account, an inference and a final court finding have different meanings. Contradictory evidence and an individual’s defence belong in the record.
Corrections are part of the work
Material changes should retain previous revisions, their source basis and a dated explanation. Readers can challenge a claim through our corrections contact.
Independent AI review, openly disclosed
The first factual collection is independently reviewed by AI against exact sources and wording. AI review is not independent human editorial approval, authenticated original evidence or a judicial determination. The owner separately authorises each exact public release.
